My first blog ever... well how to start this and explain the reasons for learning Polish: Mathematically, there are well over 40mln polish speaking people in the world, i.e. 0.61%of the world population.  Together with my other languages, I would so get to speak to roughly 20% of the world population in their native language (34% if I include my basic Chinese).  0.61% is not a lot, but a little bird told me that with Polish it will be easier to grasp Russian, Ukrainian and other Slavic languages eventually getting to 6% ie. 40% of the world population... But deep down I am not a mathematician at all: I find Polish a fascinating language: So many consonants and so little vowels, and it still sounds sexy!
